Its time. Its been fun. Maybe something will replace these old and unorganized Forums. But oPg Gaming Forums are coming down sometime soon.
Thanks for the memories.

I think I can save the day here.... I can hook us up with free forum/vent space (within a larger group, but it'll be free). That is if people want it.

why?
^ Is there any particular reason? I can host the forums and do the domain registration. I would just need Latro to send me the data or get bluehost to move it because I think opggaming is also hosted on bluehost. Depends on whether people want it or not.

I can send you the SQL files... but the forums aren't clean.. Trying to stand back up in SMF is a bit tricky since we've had so many odd plugins over the years. The # of files is on the forums is pushing my account over the 50,000 limit for backups.. I feel more comfortable with backups for sites that are making me $$. Also, this site gets about 5 unique visitors a week now.. why keep it up? Wayback Machine has us covered for memory sake: http://web.archive.org/web/20080305004451/opggaming.com/forums/

Also if we go with Laby's solution (rather than my slice of forums somewhere else) we might want to look elsewhere than SMF, or at least get a nicer looking theme. xD

I can put up a smaller weight forum, SMF is just HUGE and the 3+ years of images, icons, avatars, and signature images has created a huge amount of files that aren't doing anything but taking up space.
