And Rush is not and has never been the voice of the party.  He's the crazy entertainer that non-educated, religious zealots listen to.   Republican leaders, and the people donating all their money to further republican agenda, think Rush is a crazy wacko that just happens to convince the other nut jobs that voting Republican is voting for god.

PS, I'm one of the moderate, not crazy, Republican that thinks the current party is a joke and can't support it until it restructures in a way that the original republican core political agenda returns.

Wait, so you don't like Rush Limbaugh... yet you want the GOP to return to its core agenda...

So basically you've just contradicted yourself.

OR you listen to Rush too much.

Or maybe Reagan said it first... (okay its an old quote).

Anyways will somebody read my post and go back talking about the stimulus bill?

Anyone who listens to talk radio on either side (franken / limbaugh) is a chump and a sheep. They cant dissect the news themselves so they turn to spin artists to do it for them. All of talk radio is hypocrisy and sensationalism to generate ratings. Hows the drug abuse problem in this nation rush? Didnt you call for all addicts to be thrown in jail... oh but wait you are abusing white drugs so its cool.

the problem with a depression/recession is that the people who often get hardest are the people who don't deserve it

He's moved from being the fringe to mainstream republican in the last 3 months.

No, he's still just a loud republican that is making noise while everyone else is determining where to make moves to bring in more of the moderate vote.  No one is going to contradict him now because they don't know how they're going to position themselves for the next 2 - 4 years.

Coming from the guy that lives off the government how many months a year? Wink

You do know that with the increase in demand for unemployment checks, the number of people receiving them goes down considerably.

I was listening to the radio yesterday and they had this one construction worker talking about the impact of the stimulus.  He could not understand that the money the government spends is OUR money.  The host straight up told him that it was OUR money the government was spending yet he could not wrap his head around it.

Anyone else see the video of the guy that has been working at McDonald's for 4 years?  He was asking when he would get better benefits.  The uneducated population has no idea what is going on in this world.  If you are working at a low skill job you are getting exactly what you deserve.  These people do not aspire to increase their skill set, but demand government to provide for them.  This bill is packed full of welfare and will only hurt the economy.

Thomas Jefferson is f***ing rolling over in his grave

Some quotes that really maintain their meaning throughout the centuries

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. "

"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world. "

"Delay is preferable to error."

"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty. "

"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories. "

"He who knows best knows how little he knows. "

"Never spend your money before you have earned it. "

Chances are the uneducated labor workers won't ever make enough money to reach tax brackets that will contribute to paying off this debt anyways.  So who cares if they know.

Why?  They can vote for public officials.
