new oPg server in Denver

If some of you feel out of the loop right now. I am sorry, but I never see you guys in vent.  The server would be a nuclear fallout server out of denver, 18 man with a 30 man vent. Same shit as before but hopefully moving it back to Denver will have greater success.  I have talked to a few people like icey voodoo and some others I see in ventrilo in a regular basis.  Icey and I would be willing to donate $25 each monthly and some others said they would pitch in when they can.  The total cost of the server with vent would be 108.26.  They have a $1o  saving right now on the Ultraaccelerator [2000 FPS] package.  It has a limited availability in certain locations I think though. Killa, you will have to ask nfo if they have the 2000fps package available in Denver. Hopefully, Killa orders this shit soon. Cause I believe the hi-def will be cutting off shortly.

As I have posted before I would like to see a more people public server. Hi def is not shutting us off, I will catch what ever is due no problem. As far as catering to the cal peeps anymore I think most of them are young pompous douchebags. Thats the feeling I get from alot of our members. I have never been into the 2000 hyper accelerator shoot them in the head shit. I would like to see a normal pub go up, lets see what the people think?

I know we lost about 75% of our people when we switched to LA from Denver. The move probably would be alot more popular like it was before. Who's idea was that? LOL, just kidding.

18 man is what I prefer to play on honestly.  larger servers mean a lot of added problems:

1) decreased performance
2) longer wait times for rounds to end.
3) decrease in skilled players

oPg was and is popular because it is a server with good quality performance that attracts higher quality players.  Thats the whole reason I started playing here years ago, because I wanted to play against people that are better than me.

maybe having a 30-man server will become popular (though I doubt it, I suspect it will go the way of the pubstar server), but even if it is popular skilled players will simply not be playing here very often.  I can almost guarantee you will be loosing a lot  more players than you will be gaining.

Lastly, people are assholes on the internet.  It has nothing to do with cal vs. boe vs. cevo.  skilled players tend to be bigger assholes than shitty players because shitty players have less room to talk shit.  the second a shitty player gets good theyll start acting like everybody else.

one thing... everytime we switch IPs the server drops in population... sometimes they come back, but it seems fewer come back each time.  If this would be financially better, than I'm all for it, but just getting a new IP for the sake of being in a different time zone as CPL may be unwise.

Well considering that the population was at its greatest at the Denver nFo server... I think it would be wise to move back there. Either way though, since CAL = Dead, and BoE isn't quite CAL yet; population is going to stay down for at least a few months before BoE gets its legs under them.
