i wish they'd stop protecting her from the press, we could get some real good shit statements from her

They're still protecting McCain from the press...  They have damage control every time he speaks.
i'm earnestly awaiting the day he gets a moment away from his handlers and finally lets something about that 'uppity nigger' slip out

Yes, please explain oh wise logical.  The 20 minutes of press time each WEEK the McCain party allows the press to communicate with Senator McCain is truly showing how open he is and prepared to answer questions about what he'll do as President.

If anything, Obama's the exact opposite of being protected from the press.

QFE

"You can put lipstick on a pig, It's still a pig."' -Obama
And he slammed her tastefully... all things considered, to her statement of "What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick."

i would hardly say thats being protected from the press after what my blue state said in the news last night regarding that comment.

I love that he got to say that and feel ok about it citing precedence from using the term in the past and using it that time with no direct link just the implied one.  I can't believe he kept a straight face.

Sorry logi, but you fail.  That skit implied he was being given more press coverage, specifically more positive coverage.  So if anything they were saying he was being protected BY the press not FROM the press.

ok. if Bill O'Reilly says it, about a democrat, i think that's saying something.

Quote
For anyone to say that Barack Obama consciously compared Mrs. Palin to a pig is unfair.

BILL O'REILLY,
Fox anchor, blasting the McCain campaign and the media for insinuating that the Democrat's use of the phrase "lipstick on a pig" referred to the Republican vice-presidential nominee

"Pressed about what insights into recent Russian actions she gained by living in Alaska, Palin answered: "They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.""

This woman has a very real chance of being president.
