Below are the detailed rules for the oPg 2nd Annual 3v3 Counter-Strike: Source Tournament. All teams that have registered and each player registered to a team agree to follow these rules.

Breaking any rule or any action deemed inappropriate by oPg 3v3 CS:S administrators may result in the disqualification of a player and/or Team.

Matches will take place between 7/14/2008 and 8/12/2008. Each round’s matches must be completed by 12am PST on the Tuesday of that round week.

WINNERS WILL RECEIVE A $75 PRIZE AND OFFICIAL RECOGNITION AS TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS ON THE oPg WEBSITE and SERVER.

- 4 members allowed to register per team but only 3 are required.

Tournament Rules

This is the second of a recurring tournament that will take place each year.  Each team that enters the tournament is allowed to register 4 players. Each team will decide which 3 players will represent them at each mach.

The tournament is of a team format, consisting solely of team versus team matches. Teams compete for a $75 cash prize.

Location: Any private server or the oPg private server (server available by request and through scheduling time in the oPg forums). 
GAME: Counter-Strike Source
Maximum Competitors: 16 - Four-man teams (3 allowed in each match)

Online Registration:

-   Players may register for the tournament on or before 7/5/08
-   16 teams are allowed to compete in the Event.  A team is not registered until they have submitted registration fees (A $10 donation by 7/5/08). 
-   By registering, all participants agree to the rules of this document and will be bound by these rules herein.
-   No player can be on more than one team. 
-   Each team must have a team name.
-   Two different teams may not have the same team name.
-   Registration fees are refundable up to 5 days before the first match.  If at least 8 teams are not registered ALL teams will receive a full refund.

Player:

-   All players are allowed to participate.  This event is not limited to amateur or professionals.
-   3 Players from each team must be available 10 minutes after the scheduled match start time or the team will forfeit the match.
-  It is the Team captains responsibility to make sure all team members have access to the server where the match will be played.

Tournament:
-   The oPg Senate will assign first round match ups. 
-   Single elimination rounds.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

-   Match 24 rounds with each team playing 12 as a Counter-Terrorist and an additional 12 as a Terrorist. Round
-  The match officially ends once one team reaches 13 round wins.
-  The following maps may be used for all matches.  oPg reserves the right to add or subtract maps from this list: de_dust2, de_contra, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_train, de_russka, de_season,
-   If a match ends in a tie, a best to 7 rounds overtime will be played. Overtime rules are subject to change
-   3 players are required to start a match. Any team without a full team at the start of a match may be disqualified.  Once a match has started,  a match will continue as long as both teams have at least 2 players.
-   A coin-toss will occur before each match.  The team that wins the toss will decide which side they will start on.  After 12 rounds, the teams switch sides.  In the case of overtime, another coin-toss will occur.
-   At least 1 member of the team must be on the server within 10 minutes after the start of the match. After this, the team is disqualified and forfeits the match.
-   If a user experience a game or system crash that disconnects them from the server, the current round will finish and the game goes on until the other team has only 1 player left.  When the majority of the players leave the server, the team forfeits the remaining rounds. 
-   Each Match will start with a screen shot capture round with all players meeting in the center of the map.  A model from each side, a smoke, and a scoreboard must be included in the screenshot.
-   Each player must record a demo of the match and provide them to the oPg senate if requested.

Cheating and Rule Violations

-   By registering for this event, the player agrees to be bound by all rules and policies set forth within this post.  Failure to follow the rules will result in disqualification.
-   Any tampering with hardware or software that is deemed to give you an unfair advantage over the competition will result in forfeit and disqualification.  This includes, but is not limited to, speed hacks, wall hacks, and any other type of hacks or unfair advantage.
-   Disputes must be presented to the oPg match official and at the oPg forums. All decisions are final.
-   Any form of cheating will result in team disqualification.  If a single member of a team cheats, the entire team is still disqualified.
-   An oPg official reserves the right to disqualify any member or team at their discretion at any time, at any stage within the tournament.  No prior warning of the participant is required.
-   Any player who is disqualified forfeits any and all rights to a refund.
- No refunds will be provided to any team once the first round of the tournament has started.

Liability Agreement

-   oPg is not liable for any damages that participants occur in their home or anywhere else while competing in the tournament.  In fact, we are not liable for anything.
