AMD has announced their plans to make it that much easier in determining if your computer is capable of playing the latest and greatest PC Games.
And like many other ways of providing information to consumers, AMD will place a sticker on PCs that meet the following system requirements:
AMD Game! Ultra
- AMD Phenom X4 9650 processor
- 2GB DDR2 system memory
- ATI Radeon HS 3870 graphics
- AMD 770 chipset
AMD Game!
- AMD Athlon X2 processor 5600+
- 2GB DDR2 system memory
- ATI Radeon HD 3650 graphics
- AMD 770 chipset or NVIDIA nForce 500 series chipset

AMD Game! Ultra and AMD Game! stickers will be placed on all computer systems that meet the requirements above and thus make it easier to know if the PC you’re buying is capable of playing he current games.
While the attempt makes sense, AMD acknowledges that these requirements may only provide Frames Per Second (FPS) of 30. This is significant lower than many gamers expect from their PC.
Time will tell if this sticker approach will pay off for AMD. If it does, I’m sure you’ll see an Intel & Nvidia joint marketing campaign to match it.
