I hope I’m not the only thinks E3 is like being a kid in a candy shop. With the dry, boring, anorexic summer leaving us with nothing good, E3 whets our appetite for the fall binge. This year has been especially good, so I figure I would throw out some of my favorites.

This should be a week long venture, so enjoy.

Gears of War 2
Oh yeah. Do I even need to introduce this game? The trailer is just as good as the stylized trailer for the first one. Absolutely love it.

Resident Evil 5
I loved RE4. In fact, it’s the only RE game I bothered to play all the way through. I got sick and tired of the godawful camera, controls, limited saves, etc. of the other ones. RE5 looks to be in the same vein as 4. I’m effing stoked.

Oh, and it now has Co-op.

Fable 2
Okay, I know half the world was miffed by broken promises in Fable 1. Hype put aside, the game wasn’t actually half bad. Not good, but not bad. Fable 2 looks like it is going to continue to refine the series. It still won’t live up the hype, but I don’t know if a Fable game ever will.

And, as usual, the trailer shows us absolutely nothing about the game. It looks pretty, though.

Halo Wars
Only reason I’m interested in this game is it has potential to be the first RTS for console that doesn’t blow chunks. Starcraft64 came close… But it blew chunks.

Dead Space
Never heard of this game before E3, but the trailer was just too amazing to hold out on. That lullaby has now been ruined forever…

Final Fantasy XIII

BOO YA! XIII is coming to the 360. Yes, you heard me. FFXIII is no longer a PS3 exclusive. XIII Versus will still be PS3 exclusive, but now I no longer need to buy a PS3. Huzzah!

The trailer looks pretty good, but I seriously wonder about the music. Without Nobuo Uematsu composing the game just doesn’t have the same feel.
