Day 3 was boring. Really, seriously, and totally. Microsoft decided they had ‘won’, so they are not announcing their new Halo game, and the other bigs have already shown their hand. Phooey! Regardless, I still tried to dig out some tasty scuttlebutt from what did happen.
Pikmin
Yehaw! Looks like another Pikmin game is in the works. I would be foaming at the mouth with excitement about this, but knowing that it will use the Wii’s Wagglestick rather than an intuitive, decent control scheme, I’m not too happy.
The announcement went something like this
We’re making Pikmin.
-Miyamoto
Duke Nukem
I only include this because of how much it sucks. If you don’t want to waste 4 minutes of your life, move along.
Soul Calibur IV
Gameplay footage of SCIV has been abundant at E3 this year, so here’s some you might enjoy.
Massive Action Game
The trailer shows us ABSOLUTELY nothing about this game - only that it supports 256 people. Wait. 256 People? WTF?! I don’t even want to comprehend the logistics of running 256 people on the same server at the same time, trying to get them to do the same thing.
This is either going to be the best massive multiplayer game ever or it will fail like its predecessors. I’m leaning towards fail.
There ya have it folks. As I said, day 3 was rather dry. Hopefully the final day has some goodies in store.
