I’ve always wanted to see a band play their own song on Rock Band, and now I have. Rush tried out ‘Tom Sawyer’ prior to their appearance on the Colbert Report. Annnddd…. They failed. 1/3 of the way through the song.

From the video, it looks like Geddy Lee and Neil Peart were doing alright on vocals and drums, but Alex Lifeson failed out on guitar. Does this surprise anyone? If it does, you are a dimwit. I’d seriously hope a vocalist could sing his own song, and the drummer could carry the basic beat from his song (even if the drum set is only 4 pads big). Although, the 5 buttons of the plastic guitar is so far from a real guitar, that I’m not surprised at all Peart failed out.
