If you haven’t noticed, the unreal engine is a big deal. About half the games in the universe make use of the engine and the other half wish they did. Kudos to the games that bother to make their own, but I’ll stick lick my chops over the 4th installment.
At Gamefest in Seattle, Mike Capps let us all know that the UE4 is in production. Here’s the catch,
“We’ve got Unreal [Engine] 4 in production right now… it’s going to be in the next console generation - our rough guess is 2012 [to] 2018.”
Right… So I guess we get to wait until the 360 and PS3 die out before we get awesome new beads of sweat dripping from oversized testosterone bags.
